GIBC welcomes all Glen Innes and district, physical and online businesses to participate in the 2024 Spend In Glen Innes Highlands Christmas Campaign.

To keep the participation FREE for businesses, this years campaign will be run online. Other regional communities including Tamworth and Inverell have successfully run shop local campaigns online and we look forward to supporting the participating Glen Innes Highlands businesses through this transition.

Below are the important highlights of the competition:

• The promotional period runs from 5pm 29th of November 2024 to 5pm 20th December 2024 (AEDT).

• Customers must spend minimum of $20 per transaction. Participating Business will provide eligible customers with their receipt and Spend In Glen Entry pamphlet. These will be provided at no cost to all participating businesses.

• Online Businesses are responsible for sharing the information with their customers

• Eligible customers can enter online via the details provided on the promotional pamphlets and posters.

• Prizes will be drawn at 10am Saturday 21st December 2024, in the Town Square to encourage shoppers to come out on the weekend before Christmas. The draw will be scrutinised and streamed live via Facebook and Instagram.

• The $10,000 (proudly provided by Glen Innes Severn Council) will be awarded to 3 winners. 1st Prize ($5000), 2nd Prize ($3000), 3rd Prize ($2000) in gift cards from participating businesses.

• The winners have until the 31st of January 2025 to decide which participating businesses they would like to spend their winnings. Winners can decide how many and to what amount (up to the total of the prize value) they would like to nominate per gift card. Winners can only elect to spend up to $1000 per participating business and therefore winners must split the winning amount across a minimum 5, 3, or 2 participating businesses respectively. I.e First prize to the amount of $5000, at a minimum must be divided into 5 x $1000. There is no maximum number of divisions. A representative from GIBC will purchase the gift cards from the participating business and provide them to the winners.

• As the winners will nominate which businesses they would like to spend their winnings at, all business (physical, online, anywhere in the Glen Innes Highlands area) that have a gift card system can benefit from this promotion!
