What We Do
About GIBC
The Glen Innes Business Chamber (GIBC) is a newly reformed Chamber of Commerce that represents and connects local businesses throughout the Glen Innes Highlands in the New England region of NSW.
The past years have seen our local business endure hardships including drought, bushfires, COVID19 and flooding. In the years to come we can expect to face more adversity, and the support we can provide our members in the form of business resources, education, growth opportunities, innovation and connections can prove invaluable.
With this in mind, our main purpose is to form and sustain a resilient business community, encourage strong and valuable business relationships, and inspire the growth and development of our members. In turn we hope to generate a prosperous local economy and maximise returns for businesses in Glen Innes.
While GIBC has no political affiliations, we work proactively alongside Local, State, and Federal Government organisations to support and advocate for our members and their businesses. Of note, is our ongoing alliance with Business NSW that allows our members access to business resources and development opportunities.
The GIBC comprises of a voluntary committee and local business members. We are a self-funded, not-for-profit organisation made up of business professionals working collaboratively to build a strong business community and a thriving local economy for those who live and work in the Glen Innes Highlands.
